Hey, I'd love to hear how to make some of these things! Shampoo, wheat crackers, rice-a-roni boxes... Please share!

You can make your own pesticide for plants by pureeing a hot pepper and adding it to a gallon of water with a tbsp of dishwashing detergent (like dawn, but you can omit this). It's a whole lot safer than commercial pesticides, and in my opinion, works better!

Bisquick-esque baking mix, master muffin mix, detergent, cream soup mix, snack packs for DD's lunch, taco seasoning....that's all I can think of at the moment.

Of course, you could take all the scratch meals in lieu of frozen entrees. Does this count?

I'd love to hear how to make rice-a-roni mix type rice. I have a rice cooker, so I think it wouldn't be that hard.
As far as something you can make yourself instead of buying it out of convenience, cleaning products!!!

Any baked goods, bisquick mix, household cleaners, pizza. I'm totally with AmyMCGS with the OAMC cooking. A total life-saver (and wallet-saver).
