With the holidays approaching, let's list ways to save on gifts, gift wrap, and cards.

One example is to purchase box sets of cards vs. individual cards or make them yourself for special occasions.

I buy next years cards after this years season.

I made draw string bags that I reuse each year to wrap gifts.

I also buy those over priced but very pretty holday dishes on clearance and use them to make fruit gift baskets the following year. I pick what ever is in my garden or on my trees and suppliment with a few store bought exotics and nuts.

I also regift a few things that I recieved but didnt really care for.

Also keep some baked goods in the freezer for those last minute surprize's. If you dont use them you can always eat them.

Something else that I like to do. Big stores like Sam's or Costco sell boxes of fancy christmas ornagments ( sp? , tried three time) I might pay 12 bucks for a box and then I divide them up and tie them onto a bottle of wine.
