If you use seven dust to dust your plants for bugs, place the dust in the foot of a old pair of panty hose and shake the dust over the plants. It lets out just the right amount without getting it everywhere but the plant.
You can also store potatoes in panty hose. Just drop in a potato and tie a knot and repeat until you have both legs filled and knotted. Hang from a hook in your pantry and your potatoes will stay fresh longer.

I put on around a kitchen trash can to keep the trash bag from falling down inside.

I've been told they are great as lint catchers on the end of the hose that empties water from the washing machine. But I haven't tried this, because I haven't worn these things in years!

Many years ago a fellow who was cleaning out my laundry room drain, suggested just that, so I have done it for years. You would not believe how much lint you catch in that nylon!!! You definately will NOT have to get your drains cleaned as often. (I live in an older house with older plumbing, so it is a real money savings for me.) Just be sure to change the nylon often.

What a great idea! They work great to tie your hoses up at the end of the year too.
Also when I store my area rugs for the summer, I roll them up and tie them with panty hose.

PrairieFloozie, I never thought about it, but tying up the hoses with pantyhose is a wonderful idea. Thanks!
