things you'd be crazy to pay full price?
Share typical shopping items that you almost always buy on sale (rarely pay full price on) Not secondhand items, but retail items. As an example...many people won't pay full price on cereal. They wait for a sale or use a coupon or combo of both.

Laundry detergent is a big one for me. It goes on sale often B1G1 and I usually have a coupon. If the dale is at CVS all the better, because I use my ECBs to pay for it. I just stock up with 4 bottles and the next sale usually occurs well before I am done.

Makeup! I've been buying my fave makeup lines on sale at Walgreens for B1G1 with a coupon to boot. Makes it very reasonable.
Also anything Christmasy. Yesterday at a high end flower shop I bought some really nice 'Fitz and Floyd' look alike blown glass ornaments for 66% off. Why would you ever pay full price when you can get such nice ones at that much of a discount? The selection isn't as great as it is at full price but still......?

Dish soap, laundry degergent, hair care products, toothpaste, toilet paper, paper towels...I wait for sales and use coupons. It helps that I don't require a certain brand for anything. Makes it easy to buy on the cheap.

Shampoo and toothpaste for sure. I can't believe I ever paid over .50 for a tube of toothpaste!

hair dye
shampoo
conditioner
body soap
dish soap
paper towels
toilet paper
peanut butter
orange juice
tomato paste
beef
pork
chicken
(thats all I can think of right now, but there are very few things I pay full price on and thats only because they don't have coupons or don't go on sale because it's the store brand and cheaper than a brand name with a coupon)
I can't be out of money... I still have checks left!

Not sure if you meant this but ...furniture. I can get wayy better quality stuff at garage/estate sales then I could afford in a retail shop.
As for grocery stuff, I am amazed at the items I get for next to nothing now that I used to pay full price for. I went to visit my Mom last week and I forgot to take my lotion. My husband asked if I wanted to go buy some and I thought, no way...I didn't bring coupons and I have several bottles already at home that I got for free or cheap.

I think the only things we pay full price on are:
toilet paper-the brand we use is cheap to begin with and it almost never goes on sale
milk-in the past 8 years it's gone on sale once
peanut butter-the name brands even with coupons don't go on sale low enough

Notebook paper and folders for school. I stock up every year on these things when they are as low as 10 cents for a pack of paper and a penny for a folder.

I try very hard not to pay full price for anything anymore. If there is not a great discount on something I can always wait until there is with the exception of a few unexpected times( I refuse to run out of toilet paper). Other than that my stockpile usually keeps me going until another good deal comes along.

Let's see:
oil changes - always look for the $14.99 coupon
toilet tissue
orange juice
toothpaste
soap
shampoo
pasta
foil
chicken broth
ice cream
hot dogs
deli cheese
tuna
Progresso soup
shoes
electronics
and so much more
My motto is: "Always, always check ebay first."
Ex: If I find a pair of shoes I just have to have
I check to see if I can get them on ebay
cheaper and most times I can.
