I actually have saved up a bunch and given them as small "spa" gift baskets. Usually I just have to buy a bath pouf so the whole basket cost about $1 to make. I did that twice and both times they were very well received

I save them for when we travel to my parents (6 hours away) and I put them in the guest bathroom when we have overnight guests, incase they forgot something. Inevitably they comment on how nice it is.

I will take a month and use up all my trials when I get too many. Otherwise I use them for traveling.

A few are used for traveling. The rest are donated to a local charity.

I seem to travel within the country a lot (I flew 6 times this year), so I use them then. It's really the main reason I get them.

I donate all of the free samples. Our favorite charity is the local food/clothing bank. They need all kinds of personal items, no matter that they are only samples.

Tip for what NOT to do: I had someone bring in a big box of samples to the nursing home and they had obviously been in their cupboard for years... some of the wrappers were even dirty. Those had to go straight to the dumpster... it was a waste of that person's time and mine.

If I get a sample for something I won't use, I pass it on to my younger (18 & 20 yo) sisters. They love trying new things.

If it's something we'll use, I keep it for when we travel.

Well, I use most of my samples! But I also make up hospitality baskets to put in our spare room for guests to use. I make up little packages with them for the grandkids: they really enjoy a size that is "just for them". I tuck them into our suitcases to use for travel. Our church has a project where we fill decorated Pringles cans with such items to give out at shelters. All in all, they don't go to waste.

Some I put in my purse for "emergencies", in the spare bathroom for overnight guests, and give them to my sisters if I know they would use them. Great ideas from everyone else too.

Use them if we travel, give them to my sister to use or to her/mom to give out to their patients.
