Default What do you do for cheap entertainment?

We've just about given up going to the movies - even with our senior discount. I stopped subscribing to DISH movie channels a year ago, and now get my films via Netflix. However, our life has gotten a bit boring and I'm wondering what you all do for cheap entertainment?

We enjoy the dollar movies, netflix (at home),
any sort of free event happening anywhere for families,
the park, library, going for drives to the mountains.....then frugal holiday events.
Like Chinese New Year in Atlanta happens soon.
    It's a blast and frugal

We play dice and card games with our friends. Usually we're all broke around the same time in the month, so we'll have a potluck and play games.

to go out cheaply to eat me and hubby go to wendys--each small chilli, water and roll from Tim Hortons next door--all under $5.
We dont rent movies, we have digital cable thats my enertainment plus the libary for free movies to borrow from them. I go online to order them , then my email tells me when their in.
We go to Dollar store for the treats most time for watching tv at home. Or go to freinds house.

When it was really bad when kids were small we invited friends over while kids were in bed and played cards(no money). Differnt people brought differnt things to eat each week, took turns. Fun and cheap nite with friends.
we also go for coffee sometimes with a couple for 1 hour or so to just chat and get caught up on things.

Recently some dear friends of ours have been inviting DH and I over for cards, and board games, (sequence, I can highly recamend). So we both pitch in drinks, and snacks and play games for a few hours, its fun and also nice to get caught up.......we really enjoy going to their house because it is so beautiful and well kept : )

We go to the library, sometimes they have speakers that are free, in the summer our arboretum has free concerts, often we just look in the paper and see what is going on that weekend, often times free stuff or little cost. Winter is kinda a drag for us, mostly cards or games with friends. Summer time we love to pack a picnic and go hiking somewhere.

We play board games or online games together. The online games cost some, but we have friends in across the States and Canada that also play. Since we have mics for the computer we chat and catch up on things as well without the added cost of catching up via phone.

We watch a movie from our movie collection.

Sometimes we have our neighbors kids over for a movie night as a treat if they have been being behaved and done well in school. We have homemade pizza and cheesy bread and watch a movie from our collection.

I go to the bookstore to read and have a latte and some sort of sweet treat in the coffee shop. I take road trips with dh to visit family, entertain family at home, and dh is a long distance truck driver so I sometimes take a cross country trip with him where we get to eat out every day on his per diem. We also sometimes go to the dollar theatre.

Web design and research on the internet.
I read constantly on the internet. News,
first chapters of books, forums such as this.
I'm always reading two or more books.
