Default Removing soap scum from tubs & shower stalls!

I've posted this all over the web! It's one of my fave & most raved about tips.

I hate trying to get the soap scum ring out of the tubs & showers. At least I did. Magic erasers just seem to goop it all up, comet scratches fiberglass ones & by the time I was done, my elbow grease was all used up. Several months ago as I was scrubbing, it hit me. Dish liquid is made to remove grease & since the ring left in the tub are from our body oils, I sprinted to the kitchen and grabbed the bottle of dish liquid. I hugged it close and prayed "Please let this work!" I squirted it around the shower stall and took to scrubbing. Then I realised I DIDN'T HAVE TO SCRUB AS HARD!!! And within a mere minute & a half, our body oils were a thing of the past (well at least for a week til I had to scrub this all over again). I leapt with joy, I cried happy tears and am a new Palmolive for bathrooms testimonial. After all: "It softens hands while you do the dishes tubs." Praise the Lord!

(Actual events exaggerated for comic effect! Outcome of cleaning with Palmolive- NOT exaggerated! Other dish liquids work well, too. Just don't tell Madge.)

Thank you Kayla. I was just thinking this morning about what to use to clean my shower. I have asthma and many of the cleaners just about kill me. I like that you don't have to put a lot of scrubbing in to get it clean. Great idea.

Thanks! I'm going to try this also, I'm always afraid of scratching the fiberglass.

I'm going to try that, thanks. I've always used liquid soap on the tub, but never thought of dish soap.

Thanks for the tip. I use The Works, and it stinks, and is toxic. I am going to give this one a try.

Just thought I'd add my tip for cleaning the tubs, any shampoo will also get rid of all the soapscum too.

It also makes the batheroom smell really nummy!

Yep, I was going to mention shampoo, too! A friend of mine buys a huge jug of really cheap shampoo to use for cleaning her tub ring! Works great.

Did you try baking soda? I usually use that.

Tried baking soda, vinegar, the works, bunch of other stuff, but the dishsoap still seemed to work better.
