favorite kitchen tool/gadget?
Not appliances, but gadgets or gizmos. Must be inexpensive (or well worth the investment) and save time or effort.

I love, LOVE my food chopper. It is the kind that you place over a small amount of food and when you push the top down, the blades cut then rotate 90 degrees on the way back up. I can dice and mince in seconds!

Love my large OXO good grips salad spinner. If you eat a lot of greens, washing them and taking them for a spin in this baby is the way to go. It costs about $25 and will last a lifetime. Can find them in Target etc. too.

~Love my silicone spatulas! I love that I can use them to stir something that's cooking without them melting into the food(can you tell I've done that a few times with the cheap ones?

My electric griddle really gets a workout. Easy breakfasts, sandwiches and quesadillas plus I use it to brown meat before putting it in the crockpot. It was under 20$. Did I mention it is a cinch to clean?

Also, my Rachel Ray knife. I think if you have a good, sharp knife it takes the place of lots of other gadgets.
