    Default made my own

rewashable pads for my swiffer wet jet and mr. clean magic reach out of micro fiber towels i found at the family dollar. i personally think they work much better then the store bought versions. i had just mopped a few days ago, but today when i used my homemade ones, you wouldn't believe the yuck i picked off the floor.

WTG Halloweenfreak! I always thought the disposable pads were too big a waste of money to invest in a Swiffer Mop in the first place. Its great you found a way to get your floors cleaner, spend less money doing so and have less negative impact on the environment from not tossing those chemical-laden mop diapers into landfills.

well thats my hopes for this year, to try and go a little greener. i know i'll never be 'fully green' but i am off to a good start. i cleaned out underneath my cabinets and got rid of a bunch of mostly empty stuff and replaced it with reusable cloths and vinegar. its silly, but it gave me a fuzzy feeling to know theres no strange chemicals under there, or that my curious cats aren't in any danger when they go exploring under my sinks.

I anyone uses the swiffer duster, I found something better and cheaper. Walmart has these microfiber dusters and the rag part is washable. They're only about $2.50. We bought 2 - one for upstairs and one for downstairs. Bonus: they work better than the swiffers, especially on blinds.

Thanks for the great idea. I just bought a dry swifer a few months ago and haven't been too impressed. This sounds like a much better approach. Green too. Good for you!

Mircofiber definately is a good material to use for it there are so many little peices in there that cling on to that dirt and just do NOT let go.

I love using Microfiber to dust with !!
