    Smile Use for Mylar Balloons

This probably isn't considered a common household item, but many of us have probably received a few. I don't know if you are like me or not, but when those large mylar balloons lose all of their helium I just hate to throw them out. Now I cut off the tail (the end where they fill it), cut along the seam and reuse each half as gift wrap for smaller packages or to cover those gifts like you put in mugs. You could also use it to wrap small flower pots.

Thats good idea. Me I stick straw in hole, and flatten and put by wrapping paper. I bring to balloon store on next bday, or whatever and have them refill for .20. We give some away to friends or save them for our next bdays.

This is also not an everyday use but I used 1 by cutting it in half along the seam and then covered a pinata that I got at the dollar store. The pinata had batman on it and was a circle so I just glued the balloon halves (pictures of Barbie for my DD B-day) onto the Btaman picture. It looked great and my daughter loved it.

Thanks for the wrapping paper idea!

i got one for valentine's day & am planning on re-gifting (back to dh - who gave it to me) in a frame for next year. something simple and sweet, but shows the same sentiment, minus all that "hot air"!! LOL

otherwise, i think gift wrap is a great idea.

depending on the design, you could transfer it and creat a tshirt, pillow or other cotton based gift.
