Removing Adhesive Glue
Anyone have a tip for removing adhesive glue that
price tags leave on items? I have tried a little of
everything with no success.

~I use 'goo-gone'. It's basically citrus oil. It removes anything sticky very easily.~

It's on a stainless steel colander. Did the hot water
soak, only the top part of the sticker came off.
Left the stick adhesive residue.
Tried alcohol also.
Thanks. Goo Gone, never hear of it. Is it something~I use 'goo-gone'. It's basically citrus oil. It removes anything sticky very easily.~

~I bought mine at Walmart 7 years ago and there's still plenty left. Comes in a spray bottle. I *believe* it's in the laundry stain remover section, next to the Goop but I'm not absolutely sure of that.~

maybe.......
YOU NEED HOTTER WATER AND A DROP OF SOAP !!! submerge the thing in the water,, like in your sink !
let it sit there an hour or two, should come right off.
if not, maybe its not glue !
you wont even scratch a nail, let alone break one.
try that.

Goo gone should do the job. I've also used wd-40 to remove some adhesives. It's the in the auto section at walmart. Just be sure to wash with hot soapy water after.

Heading to the kitchen to give it a try right now.Vegetable oil will work too.
If not then I'll try the wd-40, I believe dh has some
around here somewhere. Think I'll pick up the Goo
Gone just to have it on hand.
Thanks ladies for your help.
I needed a new colander really bad so I did a search
on bed, bath and beyond found one I really liked it
was $19.99, yikes. Then the next day I got a $5.00
off coupon so I said okay, what the heck. $14.99 is
better $19.99. So I get there, find the one I want and
something tells me to check the clearance area.
Sure enough there's a colander exactly like the one
I wanted but it had one leg missing. Get this.
It was marked down to $6.98. WhooHoo!!!
One leg missing just meant it drained faster.
Put the other one back, couldn't use the coupon
but saved it, you had to make a purchase of at
least $15, no problem.
So I got my colander I wanted so badly for $6.98
instead of $19.99 minus one leg and it works great
if I can just get the sticker glue off." May we never let the things we can’t have or don’t have or shouldn’t have spoil our enjoyment of the things we do have and can have.
