Smile A couple of different ideas for repurposing...

We have used the netted bags that onions & the like come in to hold suet for the birds. You can also roll the bag up from bottom to within a couple of inches of the top, trifold the bottom, bag it within itself and twist, then use a rubberband to close off the end & use it for a pot scrubber.

Software discs you get in the mail (old cds & dvds work too)...Paint the side with the writing on it & then decorate to your hearts content. My daughter's mil paints pictures on the ones she does. Drill a small hole & put a piece of fish line through it, tie off & hang. You can hang more than one off of hanger (think wind chime style). They display nicely and when the sun hits the unpainted side it sends off a rainbow of colors.

Styrofoam egg cartons...take a card board disc about the size of a medium pizza. Cut your egg cartons apart (rows works best) & hot glue them in a pyramid style from bottom to top. Take garland and lace between rows, decorate, attach a pop can tab to the back for hanging.

About the old CDs: My neighbor nailed them to a post by his driveway. It makes a great reflector post to show where his driveways begins.

I found this one in a magazine a while ago, and it works really well for us. The plastic containers that baby food comes in works really well for jello and pudding. Of course, make sure the containers are cleaned out and then get the box jello or pudding, whip it up, put into containers and place in fridge. I can usually get about six to seven (size two container)full. They make great snacks for the kids and only cost about 39 cents which is even better. Just make sure that you leave a little room at the top of each container for the pudding and jello expand. I didn't do that once and the lid popped right off.

About the red, plastic net onion bags...
When I was young, about 12, I got a stray cat as a pet. My mom and I had to take her to the clinic for shots and we did not have a cat carrier, couldn't afford one and did not have any friends with one. So kitty went in the bag, drawstring pulled shut and off we went. I did carry her in my arms, not dangling like a sack of onions. lol. Got some odd looks at the clinic, but it was really quite nice. I could hold her in my lap and she was safe, she didn't struggle a bit.
When it was time for her shot she didn't need to be taken out of the bag and handled, he just poked right through since he could see, it was pretty convenient. I didn't even have to set her down.
We had her about thirteen years.
