Tips for making your house smell good
What extra things do you buy or use? I burn candles, incense, Lysol. Any better frugal suggestions? What do you think works the best? Any special product you think works good and worth the money?

I take the apples that are getting a bit old and cut them in two, sprinkle cinnamon on them, put them on a pie plate and put them in the oven at 250 degrees. Smells so wonderful.

I also do the cinnamon sticks and cloves on the stove, also candles. You can also put a couple of small bowls with vinegar around the house to neutralize smells/odors....they just disappear.

I love that vinegar idea. I've heard rags soaked in vinegar set out work great too. I burn candles, I love the cinnamon on the stovetop too. Looking forward to spring so I can open the windows.

I'm a big fan of candles. With 3 dogs it seems like we're always trying to counteract something!

a cleaner called "fabuloso" to clean everything.
grapefruit, orange, or lavender essential oils in mop water if i don't have any fabuloso.11% gross to retirement
10% takehome to tithe and offerings
emergency fund maintained at 3000(works for me)
credit card debt 7500
mortgage free
freedom accounts/sinking funds that ebb and flow
then live on the rest!
i am trying something new. LDS church advises savings or debt repayment should be the same as the tithe. 10% each.

I have to try the small bowls of vinegar. I recently read that used coffee grounds work well to absorb odors and can go in a small bowl in the fridge. It was also mentioned that Starbucks gives used coffee grounds away if you ask - I haven't tried that!
