    Default stretching the lotion

I am a lotion-a-holic. My skin gets sooooo dry. When I had guttate psoriasis last winter my dermatologist told me to start using Vanicream. It's the base for many cream medications. You usually have to ask for it at the pharmacy, but it is not a prescription because there is no medication in it unless the pharmacist puts it in and mixes it up. It isn't cheap, but it isn't really too expensive either. I stretch it until it screams and this is how...

I receive scented lotions as gifts or I find them really cheap here and there (I love to run into a yard sale where someone is selling off their Avon overstock!). I mix the scented lotion with the Vanicream. Then I get a pleasant scented lotion that has GREAT moisturizing properties.

Oh yeah, I also cut lotion bottles in half and scrape out every last drop when they seem to be empty...some may call me cheap, but I've actually found 10-20 more uses at the bottom of the bottle by doing this. Just be careful with the knife!

I go to the beauty supply store and get the gallon size
lotion. Then I fill a 12 oz. bottle 2/3 of the way and
fill the rest with baby oil I get from a dollar store.

I get lots of compliments on the scent.
Cheap lotion that's used by the nail salons and extra
mosturizer by adding the baby oil.
