Cole Slaw help
Any ideas on making yummy cole slaw. My recipe is extreemely basic I think and I was wondering how others make them
Head of cabbage thinly sliced
2 carrots grated
Mayo

I do mine 3lbs lbs of slaw mix w/3 cups mayo, 3 cups sugar, 2-4 tablespoons vinegar and 1 tablespoon garlic powder. Then I mix and let it sit in the fridge for a few hours. After that I taste it and add a little more of whatever ingredient it seems to need a boost of.
I am not one to cook by a set recipe. I am more of an "add a bit of this" and "put in a dash of that". The only rule I really follow with the cole slaw is to use equal parts of mayo and sugar with just enough vinegar and garlic to liven it up.DD (20)

Carrots or raddishes
Kraft coleslaw dressing
I've never been able to produce a nice coleslaw dressing on my own, it's always watery. Kraft helps me, lol.~*Darlene*~

Here's mine:
Cole Slaw
1 16 oz bag cole slaw mix
2/3 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup sugar
3 Tbs milk
2 Tbs vinegar
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
Toss cole slaw mix in bowl. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over cabbage mixture; toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate several hours or over night to allow flavors to blend.
Yield: 6 servingsNancy

I have been making the new yellowslaw..
3 cups of coleslaw, a bit of honey, yellow mustard, vinegar and I use three splenda packets.. It has turned out really good..
otherwise my reg one is mayo, vinegar and sugar.. I am easy on the sugar. I have been using three splenda packets
