I love them, too, especially retro aprons, from the 1950's.

I have NEVER worn an apron but lately I have been thinking I want to make one from vintage fabrics or grungy stained muslin, even if it's just for show, they are adorable

I wear one everyday! As soon as I get dressed, it goes on.

Hey Dee, the apple one you made for me is worn out, literally, I wore it so much it became threadbare (wore a huge hole) and Jack keeps telling me to throw it away, I can't, lol.

I do! I don't usually use them except when I am baking, but I really enjoy the variety. Frilly, practical, feminine, sarcastic, humorous, whatever. My clothes would be in better condition if I would wear them to do housecleaning too - I'm bad about spilling or splashing cleaning stuff that distorts spots.

That's a really cute one! I saw some I loved at JoAnn's fabrics last week. They have the long ties that wrap around to the front to tie. The one I wear at home most often is made out of plastic tablecloth material and it's nice because it's waterproof and I can just wipe it off. But it isn't as cute and the ties aren't long enough.

My favorite apron maker is www.jcarrelloriginals.com. Their customer service is also great.

The only time I've every worn an apron cooking is when I was cook at summer camp. If I hadn't I would have been one big mess when I got done with my shift.

I'd probably wear one to bake in -- that's when I make the biggest mess. I'd need a 'butt apron' because I have a horrible habit of wiping my hands off on my butt -- LOL!! Is anyone else like that?

I think aprons are sooo cool, but I've never worn worn. I cook, but really have no need for one. I keep a dishtowel around and wipe my hands with that.
