    Default 1/2 price food

I am not sure were to post this, but my neighbor just told me about this when I got home. I am sure some have heard of it, but I could not find anything in the forum. It's called angelfoodministry.com there are locations nationwide, from what she was telling me and from looking at the site, you can purchase say $30 worth of food, but get $60 worth of food. It looks like this month is meats. From what I saw available on the list...this would keep my husband and I stocked up for months.

Okay, I'm done babbling, let me know what you think, I never heard of this, but it seems really neat.

There have been several threads about angel food ministries here are FV, several members have used them in the past or some still do.

I remember one thread a member here discovered that she could purchase the food offered even cheaper using coupons. I personally know someone in RL that have used them and had problems with the type of food and quality of the meats, fresh veggies and fruits that were offered, she quit using them because of this and after shopping loss leaders realized she could do better. But some people have used them or still do and have had no problems and enjoy the food that is offered. It might be something worth trying for a family that is unable to shop sales, loss leaders, or use coupons. So if it can help I would say try it and see if it works for you.

Okay, now I know a searched, but it was last night and I am not sure...at the time I did not find a thread, but of course now I find it. LOL. Thank you for telling be about the threads...I did look at them. We will probably check it out this month and see what we think. We have never been able to get good deals on meat....we have been looking at some of the packing houses, alot of times you can buy a whole cow or chicken, but with just the 2 of us, its just not reasonable for us to purchase so much meat.

    thank you
