Recipe for basic "stuff"
1 cup dry noodles per person
or
1/2 cup rice per person
or
1/2 cup cous cous per person
(cook seperately from the rest of ingredients)
Now in a large frying pan or wok or paella pan place:
1/2 to 1 lb meat of your choice depending on how many you're feeding.
seasonings to taste
(brown the meat)
(then add)
1/2 cup vegetables per person
1 medium to large onion, or green onions
anything else you feel like putting in there (excellent for cleaning out fridge)
Saute' stuff in the pan until done, make any gravy you like on it.
Place stuff in frying pan on top of noodle/rice/couscous. Serve to grateful family.

I've found that it's a recipe you can easily stockpile for. And it's super easy to scale for any number of people.
