Flavored popcorn
I'm a sucker this time of year to buy those tins with the different flavors. Ya know caramel and cinnamon. *drools*
So do you have a hm recipe that you have used for flavored popcorn. I heart popcorn and would love to make a ton and maybe give some to the family. I do popcorn many ways, but never tried the fancy ways.
I do love chocolate mixed with it.

Yum cracker jacks! Does it come with a surprise?

I grew up with that. That was always a big thing when I was little.

Have you had cracker jacks lately? The prize now is a cheap sticker. Remember when it used to something good?
I don't have any fancy gift recipes, but once someone told me to popcorn on the stove in olive oil instead of reg oil, then sprinkle with salt and sugar. It's really yummy.

I went to one of the 'yuppy stores' that has bulk and bought some white cheddar.....just sprinkled it on while hot......that was pretty darn good.
But....you just can't beat regular ole buttered popcorn.....that is still my very favorite. REAL butter of course, not that movie theater orange oil!!

I love kettle corn.... So Last flea market I went to I watched them make a batch and was asking questions... Like whats that?
I came home and tried my hand at it and owwlaalaa it was great "drool" and ow so easy.
Start with oil in pan one kernal corn (to let you know when oil is ready) when you put the rest of the kernals in you put some sugar over it (before it pops...) and when it is done salt to taste... it is very good sometimes I also put cinnamon on it when I salt "drool" I want me some...

I make HM kettle corn all the time. You'll never want plain popcorn again!! Just make sure to keep it moving in the pot and take it off the heat a little before you would normally take off regular popcorn, because the sugar can burn easily.

We've been making this since 1974...
Carmel Corn
5 quarts popped corn
Boil together:
2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. clear corn syrup
2 sticks butter
Add:
1/2 t. soda
1 t. burnt sugar flavoring
1 t. butter flavoring
1 t. salt
Boil syrup mixture 5 minutes and then add 1/2 t. soda and stir (the mixture foams up). Add the flavorings and salt and mix thoroughly. Pour mixture over corn and toss to coat. Put in a long cake pan and bake at 250°F for 1 hour. Stir every 15 minutes. [Grainlady note: if you can't find burnt sugar flavoring, the recipe will work without it.]
