Question What to do with canned turkey breast

I didn't even know this stuff existed until I was organizing the pantry today. My mom gave me a huge thing of it from Sams club.

I don't eat meat but my family does so I need some ideas to use it instead of feeding it to the kitties.

I think I made a post here along time ago about chicken in a can.

So would you just make like a chicken salad type dish for sandwiches but use turkey instead?

    Tips? TIA

I'd either make a sandwich filling with it, or use it in soup or a "turkey pot pie". Sounds yummy!

It's probably loaded with sodium.... I'd be tempted to give it a little rinse first.

You can warm it up with some salt-free diced tomatoes and use it for chicken tacos.

It will probably also work in a casserole, maybe enchiladas or a nacho bake.

I used canned chicken, and yes, you should rinse it quite well.

I use it for: quesadillas, tacos, chicken/turkey salad, or even in soups.

I would probably use in some kind of pasta casserole instead of chicken.

i would do the rice cooker chicken and rice posted in the food section
    11% gross to retirement
10% takehome to tithe and offerings
emergency fund maintained at 3000(works for me)
    credit card debt 7500
    mortgage free
freedom accounts/sinking funds that ebb and flow
    then live on the rest!

i am trying something new. LDS church advises savings or debt repayment should be the same as the tithe. 10% each.

    Turkey tettrazini
    Me style
    a rinsed can of turkey
    wide egg noodle
    jar of alfredo sauce
    couple dashes of milk
    couple handfuls of cheese(sharp)

Make egg noodles a little firm. Mix everything together. Toss in casserole dish. Cook til melty. You can put bread crumbs on top if you have them. I also like mushroom soup instead of alfredo sauce too.

Some good ideas.......I have some of the canned chicken from Costco that I need to get rid of.......will use the ideas.

I like to keep some of this on hand - for emergencies (along with tuna) - but you have to buy so much at Costco. Monster cans too.

I made something so gross to me but the dh loved it. lol.

Made egg noodles, mixed in peas, mushrooms, cream of mushroom with a little milk, canned turkey and some cheddar.

Found some fried onion rings in the pantry (for that wonderful green bean casserole dish. )

Put it in the oven. He scarfed the whole thing and wanted more. lol.

Well there is one can down.

Sounds good to me - if it lost the mushrooms. So now you have another easy pleaser for him.
