    Default Goose berries

Looking for comments about.........My wife likes them raw. She froze some a couple years ago and couldn't eat them because they were too sour for her. She found a recipe for goose berry pie today and made one from frozen berries. I thought it was good...she couldn't eat much...said it was like eating lemons. She was wondering if canning them would keep the sweet flavor of fresh?

I think gooseberries are sour, no matter how you fix them. However, my mom and my aunt LOVE them. . . so I make gooseberry pies and jams for them.

Well, the next day I remembered something about goose berries that I forgot from last fall...You know the term "Loose as a goose"? Yah!

Pat took the remainder of the pie out to the chickens...they loved it & none of them died!
