So sorry for the delay in responding, I just saw this now.
Well, the taste was really good, but* it came out all crumbly, more like a softened granola than an oatmeal type "cake".

Not sure if this has to do with different crockpots, or that I used a bit bigger one than she called for? I'm really not sure to be honest.

I purchased her book and it's the most fantastic cookbook I've ever owned! Her meatloaf recipe tastes just like stuffed peppers... but without the pepper outside. She uses red instead of green peppers and I even got DS11 to eat some of the peppers!

We're a GF household, so it was perfect for us.

I'd have to recommend her Boston Baked Beans recipe, along with her recipe for Brown Sugar Chicken. There were some recipes the kids weren't fond of, but her Maple Ham is a hit in this household.

I'd highly recommend this for even non-GF families. You can always modify the recipe to include glutenous ingredients, although I imagine the consistency would be different.

I have no imagination when it comes to using my crockpot- which was a gift from my grandmother at least 16 years ago!! I can't wait to experiment. On weeknights when I come home from work and need to go right back out (eg church nights on Wednesday) it sure would be great to have dinner waiting for me already cooked! Thanks for the site!!

I cooked a pork shoulder in the crock pot yesterday and though it had 2 days to thaw... it must have still been frozen in the middle.

Thank goodness Greebo was willing to bring something home for us to eat because the roast wasn't done till 9pm. LOL

On the bright side, I have a full meal for tonight and through the weekend as I made baked corn as my side dish. I'll just throw on another vegetable and several dinners are done!!!

The crockpot is often my best friend. And I like both of these blogs, I have them bookmarked and read them regularly. This is a recipe from the 365 days one that I have made a number of times, it works out really well, Turkey Meatballs With Cheese And Apple Slow Cooker, Gluten-Free Recipe - Food.com - 448230
