Good ol' fashioned rolled oats. Can be mixed with so many things to make it tasty. My personal favorite is peanut butter and honey.

And when I can get them cheap enough, I buy frosted mini-wheats and eat them dry, like chips.

Check this out,Yankeemom, Creamy Breakfast Oatmeal (Rice Cooker) - 142363 - Recipezaar . I borrowed the book that this recipe came from from my library, it has a lot of great ideas. I have just a regular rice cooker, not the fancy kind, and this works for me.

    Hands down Cracklin' Oat Bran

It can also make a great indulgent little dessert by topping the dry cereal with a little squirt of whipped cream in a can

I'm not much for sugary cereals... but I do like an bowl of cocoa something (Cocoa Pepples, Cocoa Puffs) or fruity something (Fruit Loops, every now and then. I do like an occasional bowl of Frosted Flakes or Frosted Mini Wheats though.

I have a box of Cream of Rice in my cupboard now... Yucky !!

My favorite right now is Chocolate Cheerios... but I'll eat the eat the plain Cheerios, Honey-Nut Cheerios, Rice Krispies or Corn Flakes, Raisin Bran (with no additional sugar needed) with just enough milk to bearly cover the cereal.

I do eat an occasional bowl of oatmeal or instant grits (with a bit of brown sugar and butter - no milk).

OOOoooo I can't believe I didn't see this thread sooner. I am such a Honey Bunches of Oats (with almonds of course ) fanatic I should own stock. I also really like the other Post cerels; banana nut crunch, cranberry almond crunch (this one's got a lot of fiber compared to the others), apple caramel crunch (not sure you could even pretend that one's healthy...LOL). My favorite reallllly bad cereal is probably Trix or Peanut Butter Crunch. Oh...nvm, cold apple pie in a bowl of milk......nothing better (worse!) than that... And all you mini wheats lovers can keep em, blech!

Another Frosted Mini Wheats fan, here - any flavor. My other favorite for workday mornings is Quaker Raisin, Date & Walnut instant oatmeal. I can take a packet with me and make it at work, AND no one else in the family likes that flavor!

I like steel cut oatmeal - love the texture, cook it with milk.
Cold cereal, I like multigrain cheerios, rice krispies are ok - I dont like anything with visible sugar and most of the cereals are too sweet for me.

My healthy cereal would be steel cut oats (aka Irish oats)

My not-as-healthy one is honey nut cheerios.
