    Default A Few Flour Facts

    Need to figure out what you can make with the flour in your canister? Here are a few generalizations that may be helpful.....

    * 3-4 c. flour per loaf of yeast bread

    * 2-3 c. flour per quick bread

    * 1-3/4 - 2 c. flour per 12 muffins

    * 2 c. flour per 3 dozen cookies

    Since we buy flour in weight (ie. 5lbs sacks), but use it in volume (ie. 1 cup), it can be difficult to figure how much our baked goods cost. As a general rule, unsifted flour weights .28 lbs per cup.
