Default Using canned milk? Need recipes and ideas please

I was given several cans of evaporated milk. I do not want them to go to waste but other than pumpkim custard pie, I have never used this. Anyone have any good recipes or ideas? Can I use it in place of normal 2% milk in puddings etc?
    Thanks!

I would not use it in place of 2% as it is much thicker, like syrup.

There are many recipes on the Carnation website: http://www.verybestbaking.com/Recipe...3153,3154,3155

I never use it either, but bought a couple of cans for .19 with a sale and coupon.

I made this quiche a couple of days ago - it was good. I did have to let it bake longer than the recipe said:

It is an ingredient in some of my crockpot recipes, such as potato soup and scalloped potatoes

It's fantastic in mashed potatoes, cream or milk based sauces and gravies, tomato bisque soup, potato soup, clam chowder, or anything au gratin...

I've used it many times to give more body, richness, and flavor to lower fat or fat free milk and as a coffee creamer instead of half and half.
As far as I know, it can be used in most recipes that call for cream or milk.

Evaporated milk is similar to regular milk in consistency. I use it in soups that call for half and half or cream - great saving in calories, tastes great. I use it in coffee if I am out of cream.

I also use it in Ice cream and if you get it really cold you can whip it like whipped cream.

Bingo! Same full fat creamy texture, less fat - they even sell skim evaporated milk now and it does the exact same job. Thats what I buy when its on sale.

My dad did this while I was growing up, he used the 2% but then switched it up with Eaglebrand's Sweetened Condensed milk so he didn't have to add sugar to his coffee either. One stop shopping. Now...its Coffeemate

Found this recipe which shows you how to use it like whip cream If one of you tries this recipe, please let me know how it turns out.
