Smile Wow! I love my electric griddle!

My DS1 bought home an electric griddle he found on clearance for $5! There's nothing fancy about it, just a plain old, no name griddle, but WOW! It's the bomb! I've always stood for at least an hour at the stove making pancakes one at a time, but this griddle cooks them 6 at a time and no fiddling with the heat either. I set the controls, let it heat up and bam! it's perfect! How did I ever live without one of these things?

Before I moved, I had a Wolf Range with a built-in griddle. I miss it so much. Enjoy!

My husband loves it for making pancakes. Ours is huge, makes 8 at a time. I'm not a big fan because I'm just the one who has to clean it and find a place in the cupboard where I can cram it in.

    They are nice aren't they.
We use ours a lot. Pancakes, eggs, and grilled cheese are the most common things we make on it.

LOL! You know, when DS brought it home I was thinking, "Oh great, another kitchen thing I don't have room for!" But after this morning, I think I'm past that! I'll find room. *Grins*

Muse, Awesome! A built in griddle! I'm positive I'd miss that too!

Imagine, I'm imagining all the possibilities! Woo Hoo!

I forgot I cook bacon on it too. I just put a sided cookie sheet under it to catch all the grease.

Best EVER garlic bread on the griddle:
soften a stick of butter, mash with the back of a spoon and add 2 Tbl. parmasean cheese, 1 tsp. minced garlic and a tsp. of Italian seasoning. Spread one side of your bread with the flavored butter, grill until browned, flip and grill the other side in the butter remaining on the skillet.

How do you spell it? parmasean, parmesan? none of this looks right and I'm too lazy to get up and look

I have an electric skillet and LOVE it!
I have a Convection Oven too and LOVE it!

I'm now thinking about getting a an Electric Griddle now! It must be much more cheaper than firing up the big 'ol stove too!

    Sounds neat P.

I have a griddle that fits on the stove.......but I never use it...not even sure why. Have to dig for it I guess, so I don't bother.

For bacon I LOVE my George Foreman Grill...........that I also got for $5 at the thrift............brand new!

Palooka......usually they are bigger than a skillet.......flat. Very shallow --if any---sides.

Thanks for posting this. I have an electric griddle (given to me by a friend several years ago) and it's tucked away out of the kitchen, so I never even think to use it. But now I will dig it out and put it to use.
