Looks very interesting! My printer is not working. When we have a printer again, I will print it and read it at my leisure. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Polly! Stuck it in my faves to read more of another time. The little bit I did read already looks interesting though.

thanks! Next time I'm at the library, I'm printing this off. A while ago, I bought a 1950's Better Homes and Gardens Cookbook. It has lots of recipes for organ meat and spam. While I probably won't use those recipes, it's good to have them for just in case!

I've been reading a lot of these old cookbooks lately. If you go to BN.com and type 'cookbook 0.00' in the nookbook search you' ll be browsing for hours. Nook not required, you can download them right your computer. Some of them contain grammatical errors due to the autocorrect function on the compters they were scanned into. But you'll get it.

I read most of it - skipped the recipes but read the articles. Wow - it's fascinating!

Who would have thought you could make a pincushion from used coffee grounds? Not sure that I need more than one or two pincushions (or any, really) but that just makes me want to give it a try anyway! Thanks for the link!
