Flavored tea, and other oddities
I generally drink plain old tea. . . but today, I made some pies for church and I saved the juice from my (homegrown, frozen) fruit and added a bit of it , to my tea. Yummy blackberry tea and peach tea!
I know I've posted in the past about some of the strange ways I use the foods that most people would normally toss.
How about you? Any good uses for things that are generally tossed?

I also save the potato peels when I make mashed potatoes, etc. and fry them then add shredded cheese, bacon bits, etc. for a homemade appetizer type dish.

The rind of parmasean or romano cheese gets tossed in a freezer bag and put in the freezer. Come soup time I add a rind for flavor.
The little square fastners on breads or rice cakes are put in a drawer and saved. I then use them to close up frozen veggie bags. I can make as much veggies as I want and know that the bag will stay shut.
