ISO: Quaker Instant Oatmeal Recipes
I've got 19 packets (diff flavours) of the stuff that nobody will eat anymore well at least as oatmeal . Are there any recipes that call for instant packets of oatmeal? I just can't bring myself to throw them out!!! There are (4) flavours but they all compliment each other so I should be able to do something right?!
(2) cinnamon & spice
(2) maple & brown sugar
(5) brown sugar
(10) regular
TIA!!!!!

Do they not like the flavors? Is it too sweet? Or are they just not diggin' the righteous oatmeal goodness?
Can you mix it with plain homemade oatmeal to tone down the flavor? Maybe you can put the maple flavors on an apple crisp? Add them to some cookie recipes? Quick breads or muffins? Or you can just send the maple and brown sugar flavors to me.

I was thinking that you could add it to muffins. Oooo... I wonder if you could make struesal topping out of it.

I found these recipes that use instant oatmeal packets of various types. Some are just more oatmeal, but others are cookies, etc. - hope some of these help you out!

I've used packets of instant flavoured oatmeal as streusel topping. No need to add sugar just the butter and flour OR use it as a fruit crumble topping.
AND there's always opting to place them into a ziploc and store them in the pantry for cooler weather - the time when most crave warm comforting foods.2012: The Year Of The Purge!

Make some fruit crisps out of them.
Slice some peaches into an 8x8 pan, sprinkle with white sugar, then in another bowl add one packet of regular and one packet of any of the flavored mix together, add some extra cinnamon, then to the oatmeal cut in some butter/margarine until mixed together well, crumble this mix over the peaches, bake at 375 for about 20-30 mins ( until it's bubblely and top is brown.)
You could do the same with apples.
You can add the regular to the muffin mix and then use the flavored on the top of the batter mixed with some apple pie or pumpkin pie spice for a strudel topping.
You could also cook the packets up and then add it to some sweet/quick breads. again add some spices and then toast that bad boy up when the bread is cooled! oh yea.good eating
