Red face Anyone else addicted to kitchen gadgets?

~I buy at least two gadgets every month. My latest two are a used Jack Lelanne juicer(which is awesome)and a Rival Bread & Cake Crock insert(thanks to whoever bumped that Slow-Cooker thread and made me want one!).
I have baking tubes, steamed pudding tins, a fryer, 3 slow cookers, a press & seal, tortilla press, 2 Mr. Beer kegs and accessories, a Foreman grill, cannoli tubes, French horn tubes, tart pans, Kitchen Aid grinder, grater, slicer, and puree attachments, silicone backing cups, cake decorating sets, professional cake pans, 4 or more each of Pyrex pie, bread and baking dishes, 6 cookie sheets, regular muffin pans, jumbo muffin and mini muffin pans, food mill, ravioli press, salad spinner, and I could go on!
I usually buy everything used or at Bed Bath & Beyond with a coupon and it averages to about $20 a month. I hate having to store my gadgets but it's so fun to use them. I feel like owning and using them is one of the ways I can keep our food cost under $300 a month. I gotta justify my addiction!
    Anyone else addicted?~

Sounds like a fun addiction to me! I may buy some of those things too if I find them at the thrift shop.I'm always on the lookout for Pampered Chef items there.I have a lot of cooking supplies but it's not an addiction.Groceries is a whole 'nother subject. The grocery store is my weakness.Right now I'm down to 3 kinds of salt,--black lava, red and regular sea salt. There are at least 3 kinds of rice and lots of tea. Well I could go on but,you get the idea. I'm really trying to use up what I have now before I buy too many new things.HaHa! That will only happen if I stay out of the grocery store.

I basically banned myself from watching cooking shows and the cooking section of stores. Because I can always find something I NEED. So banning myself is the only way I seem to be able to control myself. LOL

I LOOOOVE going to kitchen stores...looking at the latest and greatest and cutest new 'whatever'. Novelty items are so much fun...until they come home with me and end up cluttering my kitchen

My latest purchase - jumbo sized silicone baking cups (was gonna get a colourful pattern but since its DH I chose plain dark brown) - I plan on using them in DH's lunch box - going to try to make a bento box!

I didn't buy the baking cups............I bought the tin!! And I REFUSE to buy the cups.........will be washing the tin I guess.

I can sooooooo relate... though I have curbed this habit greatly in the last few years when I realized that STORING IT was becoming a REAL PROBLEM.

If it had to be stored in the basement I often wouldn't use it anyway!

Still love to 'stroll through' the kitchen stores but usually don't buy....if nothing else, due to the prices.

I used to be, but not anymore. To me it's clutter and a waste of money on some things. Don't have much kitchen room and simple works for me.

Can definitely understand though!! I spent Sat. walking through Target looking at the kitchen stuff and today at kmart. (I had to go to both stores for something else, so why not swing by those isles) It's fun stuff for sure!

I LOVE my kitchen gadgets!!! I have had to be creative to get them all to fit comfortably in my kitchen, but since I really do use them and in some cases even documented the savings over a year to prove to hubby that they were worth it I don't mind squeezing them in. I also do my best to get them used or I ask my MIL to get me one for Christmas. I must say last Christmas's deli slicer has been such a blessing!

I inherited a lot of gadgets from MIL, who bought "only the best" back in the '50's and '60's. Everything she had (and she had every kitchen tool known to woman) is a delight to use, being very well made.
