Whatcha got cookin' 1/7
Seems like quite a few people like this thread so I'm going to try to make it a daily thing. If you want to start it before me that's great.
I'm not sure what I'll be cooking. I'll let you know when I get back from gocery shopping where I'll be on the hunt for some marked down meat. It's 10º now and Dh said he wants to BBQ. This from a guy who will be outside working all day.

I'm going to TRY and make meatloaf - that should be funny!
with veg and gravy.
I've got butterscotch from yesterday. And if I can be bothered after all that I might make flapjacks to go with the lunch problem thing LOL

It'll be a surprise. I informed dh last night that tonight was HIS night to cook - not sure what I'll get. But, he took venison burger out of the freezer this morning!

Well, it's looking like homemade crabcakes, rice pilaf, and maybe twice baked potatoes. YUM!

I think it will be a tuna casserole with crushed potato chips on top. (I must be craving salt.
). Canned peaches and buttered whole wheat toast on the side.

I've got chicken thawing, and I'm trying to decide between 2 new recipes, which one to try.
One is with a hm barbecue sauce, that you bake the chicken in, and I would like to see if it's better than my gold standard one that I love
or
Greek spices with lemon and olive oil and baking red potatoes on the side to soak up the sunny greek flavour.
Both from my old Taste of Home annuals, when I was poking thru to get inspired.

Leftover turkey here. Dave won't be home for dinner, so I probably won't make potatoes (he prefers them over rice). It's great to have leftovers stretch through a couple of meals
