    Thumbs up Awesome brownie recipe

I made these the other day, and they were yummy! I doubled the recipe listed below and made them in a 13 x 9 pan.

    1/2 c. butter, melted
    1 c. white sugar
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. self rising flour*
    1/3 c. unsweetened cocoa powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts (optional)

    1. Preheat oven to 350º. Grease and flour an 8x8 or 9x9 inch baking pan.
    2. In a medium bowl, beat together the butter and sugar. Add eggs, and mix well. Combine the flour, cocoa and salt; stir into the sugar mixture. Mix in the vanilla and stir in walnuts if desired. Spread evenly into the prepared pan.
    3. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until edges are firm. Cool before cutting into squares.

    Makes 12 brownies (12 servings)
*For less cake-like brownies, use an all-purpose flour instead of self-rising.

This sounds good and easy too. I am going to make these for our cookout this weekend. Thanks Michelle.
