    Default meringue cookies. HELP sinclairswife???

    Hi ladies. Well I'm thinking, Splenda and egg whites should make meringue cookies since all meringues are is sugar and egg whites and cream of tartar beaten till stiff peaks then baked in a slow oven till crispy.

    Has anyone tried Splenda doing something like this. I want to try but I have to wait to afford the cream of tartar (I have egg whites leftover from making ice cream with the yolks in my low carb ice cream).

    And I don't want to buy cream of tartar for something that won't work. It's expensive stuff.

    Sooooo has anybody done a low carb cookie using a meringue recipe and sweetened with Splenda?

    LOL THANKS you two!!! I'll make some of my low carb ice cream on the weekend and buy some cream of tartar and make those cookies next week.
