Default how long does it take for a frozen chicken to thaw?

i have a small frozen chicken that i want to thaw so i can make soup and some chicken salad. how long will it take to thaw in the fridge? just looking for a rough guess since i know that the exact weight of teh bird, and the temp of my fridge will all effect the thawing time. i'm trying to plan ahead and thaw it so it will be ready for me to cook up on a day off next week.

It really depends on the size...I'd say 2 days if it's frozen solid. If you want to speed up the thawing process, put it in a pan of cold water in the fridge.

    HTH!
