Capitol 1 asks "What's in your wallet?" I ask, "What's in your FREEZER?"
As I was packing my bargain spiral hams into the freezer, I did a rough count. There are actually more than this IN the freezer, but here's a rough idea of
What's in my freezer? (# of packages, each worth 1 meal or more)
Beef roasts: 3
B/s chick breasts: >3
Chick thighs: 1 or 2
Corned beef : 1
Fish: 1 + 3 Gorton’s
Hamburger: 3 meatballs plus 1-3# patties
Pork chops: 3
Pork roasts: 3
Regular hams: 2
Salmon: 1
Spiral hams: 3
Steaks : 1 set
Turkey: 1 (18#)
This is 30 packages of stuff! Since I can make a meal from each package, I could theoretically not buy meat for the next month! And, although some, like the meatballs, are just enough for a meal, some, like the turkey, are enough for a meal plus lots of leftovers!
And all of it bought on sale!

Good for you!

To be perfectly honest, I have no idea how much of what I have in the freezer at the moment. The boys and my hubby have been in charge of getting things out of it and loading it up when needed and they have not been writing things down like I asked. Oh well! I do know that we could live off all the stuff in there for a couple of months at least though.

Hmmm...
5 half gallons of ice cream
assorted frozen appetizers - DH and I have our quiet dinners once a week after the kids are asleep
6 steaks
chicken legs
hamburger
whole wheat flour
frozen fish filets
ham steaks
frozen strawberry jam - from the garden
pork loin
Actually every so often I go and re-inventory, so I have an idea.
