Default What store bought item do you splurge on?

I splurge on Emeril's pasta sauce.  This is my solution to "fast food" and avoiding costly take-out meals.  I confess to spending upwards of $4.00 for a regular size jar of pasta sauce.  It is soo good!  It's the best canned spaghetti sauce I've ever tasted.  I buy the Roasted Up Garlic!  So yummy!  I always check to see if it is on sale, but so far I've never seen it on sale.

Anyone have a recipe that comes close to his sauce?

I also splurge on Albacore Tuna.  I buy it on sale, usually .99 a can.  I never buy the cheaper stuff.

SHOPGIRL, I've never tried his sauce, but you might try this- the ingredients are pretty darn similar to what is in the jarred stuff.

Berries when they're not in season. I still wait for sales, but...

Coffee beans. I keep an emergency stash of cheap ground coffee for when I run out, and we both hate it.

Oh yes there is, Helmann's (full of fat) mayo!

I don't really consider anything I buy a luxury/splurge item. Okay maybe that ice cream that is in the freezer along with the hot fudge sauce. LOL But we only buy it maybe 2-3 times a year! If I know we are going to have a crazy week, I might pick up a frozen pizza and keep it in the freezer, and that's about it.

I do buy lots of name brand products, but almost always on sale and with a coupon, so they aren't a splurge but generally cheaper than store brand. I also do buy a lot of store brands, just depends on what's on sale and what I have coupon(s) for. Also, I am willing to try anything once and have found lots of store brand items this way that are equal to or better than some name brands.
