I don't really follow a recipe. I just take some ground beef, bread crumbs, dried onion (or minced fresh onion), some italian seasonings, extra garlic , a little red pepper flakes, and an egg or two. Sometimes I'll throw in some parmesan cheese.
Then I cook them in the pasta sauce. I don't like how crispy they get when I just bake them in the oven.

I mince my onions and peppers and brown them in olive oil, cool them off. Put ground beef into bowl with an egg or two, italian flavored bread crumbs and mix well with a big fork. Make into small balls, roll them and put them in a cast iron frying pan, cook over med. low heat constantly turning with tongs until done.
