I'm getting a Kitchenaid mixer!
I've wanted one for a long time. I chose the Professional model to handle holiday baking. It will be here tomorrow. I can't wait to break it in!

Congratulations. Welcome to the KA club.
I have the Professional 600 Series 6-Quart. Initially, I was frustrated by the bowl lift, but now it's not a big deal at all.

Ugh, so on my Wish List!
wants one too, but I told him that he is simply NOT allowed to have one before me, since I've wanted one forever.

I forgot to ask you what color did you get?
I wasn't very daring. I ordered steele blue. I keep dreaming of getting some attachments, but haven't purchased any yet.

I got the Black Onyx. I love some of the funky colors, but they wouldn't go with my kitchen, and I'm afraid I'd get tired of a lavender or pink mixer out on the counter all the time.
I don't think I'll need additional attachments, but you never know. It's just me and DH most of the time, and I'm not an everyday cook/baker. However, between the fact that my mom's stand mixer (not a KA) is dying, and I have only a hand-held, it was time to do something about it since it's holiday baking time.

You are going to smile every time you look at & use this baby, at least I hope you do!!!! I have quite a few attachments and if you are thinking about buying them I'd go for one of the all enculsive packs. can usually save about $50 bucks and get a 3 pk of things. Check ebay too. if you have any ? feel free to pm me.
