I forgot about this until the Great banana find by Many Houseapes! My grandmother used to make it.

Iceburg lettuce (it has to be good for something)
    sliced banana
    chopped peanuts
dressing made with mayo, some sugar and thinned with some milk

Its a little sweet, a little salty, a little crisp, and surprisingly refreshing!

Ok that one there totally reminds me of my mother. She used to like to mix fresh cut up apples, bananas and crushed walnuts with miracle whip. Oddly enough, she adored waldorf salad as well *gag*.

My fave salad - the taco salad - nice bed of mixed greens, diced cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, chick peas, shredded cheddar or tex mex and then salsa or chili meat sauce with crushed tortillas on top.

Also - I like mixed greens, diced veggies with cheese, chick peas, tuna or cubed leftover chicken breast/steak/pork chop etc.

Tomato and Boccini (or use fresh mozza cheese instead) with onion and a dressing of olive oil and balsamic vinegar.

    Simple cesar salad with chicken

Asian Glass Noodle salad and Asian cucumber salad is great as well!

OH and cant forget my alltime favourite - the FRUIT SALAD!!!
