Default Anyone have recipe for monster cookies?

I had an old boyfriend that use to make these for me: they had everything imaginable in them--peanut butter, oatmeal, choc. chips, m&m's. They were fabulous. Anyone have this recipe?

Our 10yr old just got a purple ribbon at the state fair with this recipe! He also got reserve champion junior baker at the county fair with them. (Brag...brag! ) This recipe came from one of my cousins, and the county judge raved about them. They're awesome!

It makes a HUGE amount of cookies, so adjust accorrdingly, or freeze extra dough to whip out HM cookies for weeks. My son tried the recipe with quick oats and regular rolled oats, and we all preferred regular rolled oats. My son held back some of the M&M's so he could plunk them in on top of the cookies before baking. They just look nicer for exhibition that way.

    Monster Cookies

    Ingredients:
    1 pound butter
    3 pounds peanut butter
    2 pounds brown sugar
    4 cups white sugar
    1 TBS light corn syrup
    1 dozen eggs
    1 TBS vanilla
    8 teaspoons baking soda
    18 cups oatmeal
    1 pound plain M&M’s

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Cream the butter and peanut butter until smooth and creamy.
Add the brown and white sugar and the corn syrup and cream until light and fluffy.
Add the eggs and mix well. It works best to add just a few eggs at a time.
Add the vanilla and baking soda and mix well.
Add the oatmeal – 6 cups at a time -- and stir until just mixed.
Stir in the M&M’s until they are evenly distributed.
Drop ice cream scoops of cookie dough onto greased cookie sheets and flatten them slightly.
    Bake for 12 minutes.

That's the same recipe we use.

Congrats to your son on the purple ribbon at the state fair!!

I got this recipe from my sister 30 yrs ago. It was from her Tupperware lady, who gave it out when she was showing the big huge green bowl with the lid. Do you remember those?

    Any way, here it is:

    Monster Cookies--makes 20 dozen cookies

    1 C Marg/Butter
    1 C Shortening

    Melt together.

    2 C Brown Sugar
    2 C Sugar

Mix into melted marg until disolved.

    2 Tbs. Vanilla
    4 Eggs, beaten
    2 C oats
2 C Cereal--any left over box/bag cereal, stale or other wise

Mix each item into Marg/sugar mixture as you add it.

    4 C flour
    2 tsp Baking Soda
    2 tsp Baking Powder

Sift together and then stir into above.

Now add one or more of the following:

    1/2 C nuts
    1/2 C Coconut
    1/2 C Raisins
    1/2 C Choc. Chips

Bake on greased cookie sheet 8-10 minutes at 350*. Drop by Tablespoon.

(I use an ice cream scoop and make them much bigger than tablespoon size. Dough freezes great.)
