October will be the beginning. The theme will be Harvest Treats. This can include any area of baking with an Autumn or seasonal theme.
I'll be posting some recipes soon. Please feel free to share some of your own, if you have any.

We should have it Fall themed instead of Halloween... since not everone celebrates.

Hi, Kim. When I read that the theme was Autumn, I didn't even think of Halloween. I was thinking more of pumpkins and apples and incorporating ideas about falling leaves (shaping and decorating the treats like leaves for the dks, making treats shaped in pumpkins and gourds., macaroons to represent the haystacks we play on at the farm down the road, turkey shapes....my brain is freezing.
I will do more thinking and reading to come up with more imaginative ideas to contribute. I am sure others will have some great ideas as well, Kim.

I have some recipes I can substitute - I just wanted to make sure that's okay (to do fall/autumn recipes instead of Halloween treats).

LOL! Well, DUH! I just now saw that it got changed to Harvest Treats.

I think Harvest Treats sounds so much better, thanks Sara.
It allows for a wider variety of things. I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with. I have a Pumpkin Bar recipe that is to die for. I guess I better go dig it up.

count me in-maybe all you ladies will inspire me. I was just laying in bed thinking how a warm cinnamon bun would taste.

I have a great apple crisp recipe....Sara, should I just post it in the forums? Or should we start a sticky for recipes for the baking club? Let me know if I can do anything to help coordinate this with you.
