Hershey's Syrup
Hershey's Syrup
Supposedly this is the recipe featured on the can of Hershey's cocoa before Hershey's syrup was marketed. Thicker than other syrup recipes I've tried and none of the gross stuff in commercial varieities
SERVES 32 , 2 cups (change servings and units)
Ingredients
1 cup cocoa
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 dash salt
1 cup hot water
2 teaspoons vanilla
Directions
1 Combine cocoa, sugar, dash salt, and hot water in saucepan. Stir to combine. Boil 3 minutes. Remove from heat; add vanilla and stir.
2 Store in a clean container in refrigerator. Makes enough to completely fill a pint canning jar.Bank of America is THE godfather of Hell with Wells Fargo running neck and neck. When the world ends the only things that will be left are cockroaches, Walmart, Wells Fargo and Bank of America. Not necessarily in that order. The order remains to be seen.

I can remember my mom made this when i was a teen ager and we would put it over home made ice cream
