    Default Lipton's Onion Soup Mix

    Lipton's Onion Soup Mix

    SERVES 4 , 19 tablespoons, approximately

    Ingredients
    3/4 cup instant minced onion
    1/3 cup beef bouillon powder
    4 teaspoons onion powder
    1/4 teaspoon crushed celery seed
    1/4 teaspoon sugar
    Directions
    1Combine all ingredients and store in an airtight container.
    2About 5 tablespoons of mix are equal to 1 1¼-ounce package.
    3To make onion dip: Mix 5 tablespoons with one pint of sour cream.

    I mix up a HUGE batch of this and put it in a big Garlic Powder container that I have (wrote what it was on the label).

    12/08/10 - Begin diet & exercise program.
    Goal #1 - lose 30 lbs, lower blood sugar, blood pressure, & cholesterol - DONE
    Goal #2 - lose 5 more pounds to put me in the normal range on the BMI - DONE - 5/13/11

    05/16/11 - Down 36 lbs (total) since 12/08/10, under calorie goal almost every day, on treadmill 40 minutes 5 days a week MINIMUM.

    I have a TON of this stuff. Never really messed with it before. My mother before she died 3 years ago made me a huge notebook/cookbook with this stuff and more in it. Just started making and sharing it. She was a fantastic cook and loved doing it. With 6 kids she done ALOT of scratch cooking. Miss her alot...
