    Thanks for another great link...

If you like these recipes, I came across a book I want to check to see if there is a copy in the library before I decide if it's worth it to buy it. It looks great for anyone who uses "Helper" type boxed mixes and wants to make them from scratch and save money.

I just recently got these books and I LOVE them!! There is a site for the Dinner is in the Jar book. Dinner Is In The Jar You can preview a few things there. You can also preview the book on Amazon.

In the Mix-A-Meal cookbook, the biscuit recipe is the best made from scratch biscuits I've ever had!!!

Another book I'm looking into is: [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Make-Mix-Karine-Eliason/dp/0762426020/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1271541899&sr=8-1"]Amazon.com: Make-A-Mix (9780762426027): Karine Eliason, Nevada Harward, Madeline Westover: Books@@AMEPARAM@@http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/515bMMvolqL.@@AMEPARAM@@515bMMvolqL[/ame] I have yet to make anything from it, but I has some nice recipes.

I wonder if this book has been revised. I have their early books -
    -Make-A-Mix Cookery (1978)
    -More Make-A-Mix Cookery (1980)

I've been using both of these books since they came out, but the cover is different from the first one I bought used all those years ago. I even have Make-A-Mix Cookery in a small paperback version.

I don't know if it's been revised, but I do know this book has (some of?) the recipes in the other two books. I think it's more like the two books have been combined in one. I own neither of the older books, but I did find the 1980 book at the library and I made sure that the current book had the recipes that interested me before I bought it. (I looked at the index on the Amazon preview.)

Edited to add: Looking at the book on the page about the authors, it says that they added a few recipes, revised many old ones, and lowered fat and cholesterol in many.
