    Default Taco Bell Chalupa copycat

I've never tried these, but I think it looks good. I might try it this week since I have ground beef.

Thats what a Chalupa is . The filling is different than a traditional taco texture wise due to the flour in the filling. Or at least to me. They were very tasty!

I've never seen Indian tacos with flour in the filling. The filling is the same as a regular taco, just served on fry bread instead of a taco shell or tortilla.

It looks like Taco Bell uses a crispy shell that's similar to a regular taco shell, but thicker. That's not fry bread.

I haven't had a TB chalupa, so I could be wrong.

Whatever, I'm sure this recipe is tasty.

The chalupa is slightly crisp on the outside and chewy breadlike inside. It tastes like fry bread but is thinner than the fry bread I make. They are my fav if we go to Taco Bell.

I'm not sure but I think they use fillers with their ground beef. Maybe that is why the flour? It was the same texture as their meat.

Spirit Deer Chalupas are delicious We were at a festival that had the thick fry bread tacos this summer. I'd be hard pressed to decide which was better.
