I've never tried these, but I think it looks good. I might try it this week since I have ground beef.

I've never seen Indian tacos with flour in the filling. The filling is the same as a regular taco, just served on fry bread instead of a taco shell or tortilla.
It looks like Taco Bell uses a crispy shell that's similar to a regular taco shell, but thicker. That's not fry bread.
I haven't had a TB chalupa, so I could be wrong.
Whatever, I'm sure this recipe is tasty.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The chalupa is slightly crisp on the outside and chewy breadlike inside. It tastes like fry bread but is thinner than the fry bread I make. They are my fav if we go to Taco Bell.
I'm not sure but I think they use fillers with their ground beef. Maybe that is why the flour? It was the same texture as their meat.
Spirit Deer Chalupas are delicious
We were at a festival that had the thick fry bread tacos this summer. I'd be hard pressed to decide which was better.
