Default Original Girl Scout Cookie Recipe

    Hi
I was wondering if someone could check this link and tell me if you think this is a good recipe. My daughter has to make cookies for a cookie exchange for school.

Does this recipe look like a good one? Do you see something I should change? My daughter has already signed up for this cookie so I can not change the type of cookie but I can change the recipe to make it better. She is 11 and she has to do this mostly by herself. The teacher wants them to learn about the tools used in baking and how to measure out liquids and solids. She will also have to reword the recipe to include the exact tools she used. ie mixed with a spoon or used a mixer

She wants to change the recipe a little to include a little bit of frosting on the cookies and some sprinkles when the cookies are cool. I think that will add a nice touch. What do you bakers think???? Also she wants to put the cookies in the refrigerator to get cold and then after a few hours take the dough out and roll the cookies into balls. Will she have to flatten them with her hands a little bit before baking? I have not made cookies from scratch for some time now.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

Looks like a good recipe to me, although it appears that it is for the trefoils kind of cookies. These are like a buttery shortbread and I am not so sure about the frosting on them, it might be too much. Colored sugars would be nice though. Just my opinion, I hope she has a good time. Oh, and I would say use a mixer, it will cream the butter and sugar nicely.
