The Duggars (family of 18) website
http://www.jimbob.info
I found this website VERY informational. Not only about their lives and how they manage, but in frugality as well. I mean, who could be more frugal than a stay at home mom of 16 kids?
They have the family's favorite recipes, how they run their day, how they are organized. I especially like how they handle the laundry with a family closet as opposed to dressers & closets all over the house...

I'm sticking it in my bookmarks and sending the link to my sister. ROFL she is SO behind this lady! With only 6 kids and homeschools too but hey my sis needs to pull up her socks and get going.
Seriously my sister will love this site, it's sometimes hard to find social support and good tips from other experienced mums of big families.
her best friend has 12 kids and they'll probably both enjoy this site.
Thanks

Heck, I have 2 kids & I like this site.

I wish they'd use less prepared foods (cream of ?? soups) but with 18 people....jeesh! I'd probably do it, too.
And, it's not like they're unhealthy or overweight.........can you imagine McDonalds for *that* crew!!!???? So, I suppose a *little* less-nutritious items cooked at home wouldn't hurt.
I tell you what...I've made a version of that Tater-tot casserole & I *love* it. DH would disagree, but I haven't met a kid yet that wouldn't eat it.

I must say I am impressed with how well they "seem" to do.
I always said I wanted 10 kids, well we have 7, 3 not biological but, I am mom and dh is dad, no steps/halfs, just all brothers and sisters with mom and dad!
Although now I am over wanting mroe kids. I still wanted more up until my accident and now I jsut can not physically do more kids, let alone feed them, clothes, all that stuff.
Morte power to them if they ate able to amage that many little ones like that, not many could and still be sane
I hope all the kids become successfull and really enjoy their lives!
That is a neat site they have and they must be extremly frugal but do the kids even notcie not having all "new" with as busy as their house must be, probably no time for that

O.K. I spent some time on their website. I'm overwhelmed just reading everything. I can't imagine 18 people living in one house. It's just too much. I wonder how many kids she'll end up having. She is still a young woman; heck, I bet she has at least 8 good child bearing years left. Maybe she'll reach 25 kids.
If I had 16 kids, I'd be sending them to school. When does the woman ever get a break?

Thanks for the link Heather. I read the entire site and what stuck out to me the most was when do the kids get anytime to be kids? You know just go outside and play ball or on the swings?
It sounds like they are making it work and I bet they will be thrilled when their new home is completed.~~ Dee ~~
