mommy4ever nicely said.
I truly admire the Duggers. My great grandparents had 22. They would have had more if they could have. People used to have to have kids, so that they had help for farms.
They dress simply and handmake their clothes. Something like the Amish. Of course many here probably think the Amish are nuts. My ancestors were Amish, and I am proud that is part of my heritage. (I'm not Amish)
Yes they are debt free. They do not receive government assistance. Who, with children, wouldn't appreciate donations af clothes or shoes for their kids. I have no children, but I take things people give "me". Also, who wouldn't appreciate someone decorating their home w/free goods? I'd love it. Most of my stuff is second hand (I can buy new - but I believe in recycling)
Their religion takes the Bible literally. "Go forth and multiply" It doesn't say stop at 4 or 6!!!! They are very religious people.
I would much rather have those kids in my neighborhood, than the ones who are already here. Most kids nowadays don't have manners, are consumer addicts, gameboy geeks, and have no imagination. Their children all play musical instruments and are very talented. (It does take some talent to help build a house). They have learned many things that will help them as adults.
Many of the kids names are Biblical. I know many families that have names all starting with the same letter (including moms & dads).
As someone else stated, as long as they are happy and not living on public assistance and making their own way, who are we to be critical. If more people were happy and pleasant to others, and not always critisizing, the world would be a better place.
How many here (w/kids or not) are totally debt free on one income? I bet the number is small. They obviously are doing something right.
Coodos to them. I think they are great.

I haven't given birth and my boobs are where they should be too... somewhere north of my belly-button, but they seem to have started the slow southern slide
Eh, doesn't matter to me if they have more... not like I live near them or even know them... and honestly, even if I lived next door, there really isn't a way to stop them from having more. They seem human, I looked at their photo albums, no signs they are pod-people
I can't be out of money... I still have checks left!

I have 4 children and at 36 had to have a hysterectomy due to some serious problems. At the time we were trying to have another baby. People are amazed that I would be sad about not being able to have more children when I already "have so many". I think that if the Duggars want to have more children that is thier choice and nobody should judge them for it. The children are well dressed, well behaved and well loved.
