Clothesline
I have room for a small one... does anyone have advice on an inexpensive version that I can put up myself?
~Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.~

How big of an area do you have? Can you put a post up?
The cheapest way is to go to the lumber yard and get a 4X4 post 8 or 10 feet long, a bag of quickcrete, two pullys and some clothsline. To be frugal ask for any discounted/warped 4X4's and opened bags of quickcrete. They usually will sell them at pennies on the dollar.
Dig a hole 2 feet deep and 8" dia. Put 4X4 in hole and backfill with quickcrete. Attach pullies and string line.
