I have used drying racks for at least 15 years. Even when I used my dryer I used the racks. I now use my dryer as a storage for winter quilts.

Default Another To Do List Item

Hmmm... I haven't used a clothes line since I was a kid. Looks like I have another outdoor project for this summer.

    - Build outdoor clothes line.
    - Build/find cheap indoor clothes rack.

    Thanks, ladies.

We started using an outdoor clothesline a few weeks ago. Brings back fond childhood memories

I figured out that our electric dryer costs about $1 per load to run. We usually do about 6 loads per week, so our monthly cost is around $25--that's a lot of money! I'm looking forward to getting our next electric bill to see if there has been any impact yet.

I have an umbrella clothes line outside and a large drying rack from Lemans. I love them both but the drying rack is HUGE and takes up a lot of room. I am thinking about getting another small drying rack from Wal-Mart. I don't think as long as I've been keeping house that I have ever been without a drying rack and a clothes line Well, I take that back. I was for a while. I gave mine to my son and then later got the large one from Lemans. Maybe a couple of houses I didn't have a clothesline. For the most part, I've always had both.
